Fantasy Football Definition of Transactions

A transaction is any adjustment made to a fantasy football manager's roster after the fantasy football draft or at any time during the season.

It is possible to drop and add players by means of waivers and free agency, and these changes are controlled by individual transactions. Another kind of transaction is the trade, wherein two fantasy football teams agree to a swap of specific players.

When planning for the future of your fantasy squad, consider that all transactions have a deadline. There is a point, usually towards the very end of the fantasy football season, after which transactions may not be made.

The only strategy involving the transaction deadline is to get all your moves made well before you aren't allowed to any more. Simple stuff.
